How to fully remove inPhoto and IDPhoto software from your PC

To fully remove all inPhoto and IDPhoto applications from your PC just use our inPhoto/IDPhoto Remover and then restart the PC.

Step 1. Download inPhoto/IDPhoto Remover from our website.

 

Step 2. Before you start inPhoto/IDPhoto Remover, please, keep the serial numbers of the applications. This utility removes the activation data too.

You can find the serial number in the About dialogue of the application. The dialogue is located in the main menu > clip1811 > About.

Step 3. Close all inPhoto and IDPhoto applications.

Step 4. Start inPhoto/IDPhoto Remover and click the Remove button.

Step 5. Please wait until the utility has completed then click the Next button.

Step 6. Done! The inPhoto and IDPhoto applications, all it`s components and records in the system registry have been completely removed from your PC.

To close wizard click the Finish button.

Step 7. After inPhoto and IDPhoto software has been removed please restart your PC to complete removing.

How do I recover my Serial Number

If you lose your serial number you can recover it use following methods.

 

Method 1. If you can start the application you can find your serial number in the About dialogue. The dialogue is located in the main menu > clip1811 > About.

Method 2. Choose this method if you cannot start the application but you can extract application files from hard disk. In this case, please, send ActivationData.dat to our support.

If you have application inPhoto version 1 send us inPhoto.ini instead ActivationData.dat.

An activation data file contains an encrypted serial number, we will extract it and notify you.

Paths to ActivationData.dat and inPhoto.ini are given in the table below.

Method 3. We can also determine your serial number by IP address. To do so, please, send an IP address to our support.

You can use this way if:

1. IP address is static.

2. IP address has not changed since you activated your serial number.

3. You activated only one serial number from the IP address. If you activated several serial numbers from one IP address, please, send us the serial numbers for other applications.

To know your IP address you can using findmyip.org or myip.com.

 

 

Method 4. If none of the above methods is suitable, please send the detailed data of your order (application name, date of purchase, way of purchase (directly or via reseller), etc) to our support.

If the provided data is sufficient to identify the order we will send your serial number to the email specified in the order.

If the data is insufficient we will request you to provide additional information.

Service cannot be started

inPhoto or IDPhoto applications displays the “Activation Service cannot be started” error during start

Issue:

When you try to start the application the error message Service cannot be started appears.

Cause:

The activation service cannot be started for any reason. The activation service executable file could be deleted or corrupted during any actions with your PC.

You can find ActivationService.exe in the folder:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\inPhoto IDPhoto Shared\Activation Service\

Solution:

Please, reinstall the activation service.

 

Step 1. Make sure that you know the serial number of the application, if not, recover it. You will need it to activate the application.

Please, recover the serial number before you reinstall the activation service. In this case, we can identify your serial number using the data files of application. After reinstalling these files will be deleted and it will be more difficult to recover the serial number.

Step 2. Download inPhoto/IDPhoto Remover from our website.. This utility fully removes all inPhoto and IDPhoto software and all it`s components from the system.

Step 3. Start inPhoto/IDPhoto Remover and follow the instructions of the wizard.

Step 4. Restart the computer.

Step 5. Install the application. The activation service will be installed along with the application.

 

If the issue persists after you have reinstalled the activation service please run ServiceRepair.cmd. It registers the activation service in the operating system and also create the log file that contains the detailed description of the error.

If ServiceRepair.cmd does not troubleshoot the issue please send the files listed below to our support at /supports/:

If you experience issues with our applications you can send us application Log file. We will study file contents and can identify that causes the error.

The Log file is overwritten each time you start the application. To ensure that the actions causing the error were written in the Log file, please do the following:

1.Reproduce the issue.

2.Close the application. Please note that you should not to hide application to trey and close it completely. If application hangs use End Task from Windows Task Manager.  

3.Send us Log.txt of your application.

inPhoto ID SLR or inPhoto Capture SLR displays the "The Camera failed capturing an image" or "Failed to capture image" error

Issue:

After you have clicked Capture to TWAIN or Capture to File the application displays the "The Camera failed capturing an image" or "Failed to capture image" error.

Cause:

Causes of the error may be two:

1. The camera cannot detect the subject of focusing.

For example, to get a test shot you aim the camera lens at a blank wall and set high zoom. In such conditions, the focusing system of the camera "does not see" the difference between image points and cannot choose the target to focus.

If the subject of focusing is not detected the camera will not shoot. In this case, the application receives the message from the camera that shooting cannot be undone and displays the error.

 

2. The error caused by SD memory card.

The memory card can rarely cause an issue when you control a camera remotely. inPhoto ID SLR and inPhoto Capture SLR interact with the camera with or without a memory card. To fix the issue use the camera without a memory card.

 

Solution:

1. If case of focusing problem, please, proceed as follows:

Please choose subject with color that differs from background.

Compose your shot so that it contains both subject and background.

Zoom out or increase the distance between the camera and the subject, if you using a single focal length lens.

Adjust the lighting so that image colors became brighter and more intense. If the shot is too dark or too light the focusing system cannot differs subject color and background color.

2. In case of SD card issue, please, remove card from camera.

inPhoto ID PS or inPhoto Capture PS displays "Capturing…" message and hang after shooting

Issue:

After you have clicked Capture to TWAIN or Capture to File the application displays message "Capturing…" and hangs.

Up to this point the application and the camera worked properly.

Cause:

The cause of the issue is that not all manufactures produce the memory cards fully complying with the SD standard. The memory cards having variations from the SD standard can cause issues with image saving when its are switched to the "Lock" mode.

Why does the application hang?

After you have clicked Capture to TWAIN or Capture to File the camera captures an image and then tries to store it on the memory card. If the memory card does not work properly in the "Lock" mode the camera cannot store the image.

At that time, the application waits a message from the camera that the image is stored successfully. And since the camera cannot store the image the application does not receive a message and remains in the standby mode (hangs).

You cannot determine how the card comply with the SD standard and how correctly it will work during purchase. Therefore, we recommend using only the SanDisk memory cards for inPhoto ID PS and inPhoto Capture PS. All SanDisk memory cards strictly comply with SD standard and work properly.

Solution:

Replace the memory card with SanDisk memory card.

You may choose any model of the SanDisk memory card, all cards of the manufacturer work properly.

Addition:

If you still experience same issue after replacing the memory card – please send us the Log files so we can identify what causes the issue.

Invalid serial number

inPhoto or IDPhoto applications displays the "Invalid Serial Number" error during activation

Issue:

After you have entered the serial number and clicked Activate in the activation wizard window the error message Invalid Serial Number appears.

Cause:

You enter the serial number of another application. For example, to activate inPhoto Capture PS the serial number of inPhoto ID PS is used.

These applications are also often confused:

inPhoto ID PS and inPhoto ID SLR

inPhoto Capture PS and inPhoto Capture SLR

inPhoto ID SLR and inPhoto Capture SLR

Solution:

The name of the application you are tried to activate is provided in the header message.

The name of the application that corresponds to your serial number you can find in the your purchase confirmation email.

Please confirm application name from error message header equals product name from purchase confirmation email.

If product names are different – you installed wrong software product. In this case, download and install the application specified in the purchase confirmation email.
