To add Blat to the list of external applications, enter the File menu > Options > External tools tab. The tab contains parameters for connecting external applications.
More details on the parameters may be found in this chapter.
For the boxes to become active, the application should be selected from the External tools list. As we are connecting a new application, let's select [New External Tool].
Fill out the Title and Command boxes. Write the utility title in the Title box. Please note that in this box you can enter any name for indicating the application. The value entered to Title will become the title of the corresponding item in the Actions menu. In Command, let’s indicate the path to the bat file created at the beginning of the example.
After filling in the Title and Command boxes, the application will appear in the External tools list.
To complete establishing connection, press Add, then close dialogue window with OK button.
Blat has now been connected and added to the Actions menu.
