The side menu is designated for more convenient and quicker access to the frequently used functions.
All the side menu interface settings are located in the File menu > Options > General tab > User Interface Settings section.
By using settings from this section, you can display or hide any button from the side menu except for the Processing settings button. Displaying of only the most frequently used buttons is set by default. The table with the setting names and respective displaying buttons is given below.

The last setting in this section is Enable Touchscreen controls; it changes the side menu interface to the one that is more convenient for the usage in touch-screen devices.
